Compelling, thoughtful, and progressive instrumental metal. The heavy parts are somewhat in the djent/Meshuggah style, but it is mixed with almost Fates Warning or Evergrey-like gothic melodicism. Sort of like a moodier, more metal version of Scale the Summit. These complicated songs remain entirely accessible, lush, and beautiful.
Favorite track: Repression.

If you want your brain to unravel, this is the one. While every Car Bomb record is gold, this is the most refined iteration. With some of their most melodic elements in Gratitude and The Oppressor, as well as heaviest in Sets and Black Blood. They also up the staccato riffing with Secrets Within and Constant Sleep. Pure Love. 10/10

I forgot to review this, and that's a crime because this album is extremely memorable. Mellow guitars, synth pizzicato, and all the hallmarks that make Algorithm so cool, just in a much smoother, softer, synthwavy shell.
